For your grandma
What's important to remember is that life happens over 70, 80, 100 years.. it is slow and fragmented. It's soft and gentle. Death comes in an instant. It is whole, sudden, and intense. Sometimes, if a person lives so well and happily, if their life is a beautiful song, death can't touch them. When death comes it becomes entranced by their music. Instead of taking them away, death begins to dance around. Because they do not belong to death. It's all a process of ripening. It's like with fruit. Some fruits ripen and fall with a faint breeze, while others are so strong that the wind has no affect. They drop when they are ready.
