Seeds. Seeds are born. A tree is not born. It is the seed that is born. The tree cannot be born. The tree must grow. The seed is born, and the tree is grown. The tree grows from the seed. And it is up to the seed whether or not the tree grows. Because the seed is born. The seed is living. The tree is not born. The tree must wait. The tree waits for the seed. Once the seed is finished being a seed, then the tree begins to grow. If the seed is never finished, then the tree never grows. The seed must come to rest. It must be planted. There, in darkness, in silence, in solitude, the seed may lose it's shell. Only then can the tree begin to grow.
The tree grows because the seed is in darkness, in silence, in solitude. The tree grows upward, returning to the light. The tree needs the light. A seed cannot use light. A seed cannot understand light. The tree cannot live without light, so it grows. It grows toward the light. The tree grows tall and the branches grow wide. The silence of the seed is replaced by the whistling of the wind. And the solitude is transformed by dozens and dozens of beautiful, blossoming flowers.
People are no different. We are born seeds. If we do not come to rest, our tree can never grow. So many seeds, so many people, go on constantly in search of something in this world. Sadly, many never find it until death. Because when they are laying there in bed- Old, tired, worn out from searching... They finally come to rest. Their beliefs and their knowledge mean less and less; they find darkness. Their thoughts calm and quiet themselves; they find silence. They become in touch with who they truly are inside; they find solitude. And in those last few weeks or days, they transform. The seed is no more. The shell is lost, and the tree is growing.
All you need do is nothing at all. Throw away your flashlights, your hand-me-down beliefs, and accept the fact that you are in darkness. Real truth is light. It is like a tea candle far off in the distance. If the light you carry is too bright, you will pass it by.
All you need do is nothing at all. If your thoughts are too loud, they become a distraction. If your thoughts are too many, they become a hindrance. They are distracting and hindering because you get caught up in them. "One thought leads to another." Consider your mind to be Time Square. You can get caught up in the rushing traffic, blaring horns, flashing signs, and crowded sidewalks. OR, you can choose to OBSERVE the traffic, and the horns, and the signs, and the crowds. You haven't stopped anything, but you aren't allowing yourself to be a part of it either. Just hear your thoughts. Watch them rush on by, without getting involved.
All you need do is nothing at all. A tree must grow alone. It can grow around other trees, or next to other trees, but never WITH other trees. A forest is a whole group of trees, but each tree is growing alone. To be alone does not mean to be by yourself. To be alone does not mean to be lonely. Loneliness is a condition in which you are missing. You are lonely because you are missing something. Aloneness is a condition in which you are NOT missing. You are alone because you have found yourself. To be alone, you must go deep within your own soul. The more you have learned, the harder this becomes. The more attached you are to the outside, the harder it is to stay within.
Once you learn that you know nothing. Once you let your thoughts just be thoughts. Once you come to grasp who it is you truly are. Then your tree will begin to grow. You will not miss your flashlights, because now the sun is always shining. You will not need your thoughts, because the wind will whistle and the birds will serenade. You will not need the others, because you have become self-sustaining. Your branches will begin to blossom and bloom, bringing beauty to everything you see. And, with any luck, you may offer some shade to wandering seeds that come and rest beneath you.

Being yourself is important. You shouldn't change who you are for anyone, not even for a second. With that said, should I REALLY restrain my words and my actions just because children are around? Why do people deem it inappropriate to curse and be obscene around children? Is it to preserve their innocence as long as possible? To give them a false sense of the world? Or is it somehow done as a show of respect for their younger age? But by restraining yourself and being someone you are not, are you disrespecting yourself? Certainly you're lying to the children... so can that even be considered a show of respect? And lying to keep innocence? Some things I just don't understand.

Personality really is important, because it's the last part to die.
The concept of "tomorrow" is the single most detrimental notion that exists as a result of human conscience. It is the cause of many missed opportunities. It is the beginning of stress and discontent. How often do you say "I'll do it tomorrow." How often do you follow through? How does it make you feel when you finish late, or miss out all together? How much happier would you be if you didn't know about tomorrow? How different would life be without that borrowed time? It all boils down to one simple rule: tomorrow is a promise you can't keep. Stop lying to yourself. Quit staring straight ahead and have a look around! Forget about down the road, appreciate the moment that surrounds you. Breathe in all the seconds you can. Never live in debt to tomorrow.

lluminate here. A finger pointed to the moon; which did you see? Forgo the practice of lips. Remember yourself. Always leave something out of place. The sky is neither good nor evil, it's just the sky. Be the sky. Heaven is a candle at the head of 1000 roads, behind a gateless gate. If you carry a flashlight, you might not see... The water here is too shallow for anchor

If you were to follow me, carefully placing each foot in my tracks, you will never find what I have found. Your feet will be in the right place, but your eyes will be on the ground.

Weak people, that is, people of weak minds are easily tempted and controlled by flashes of temporal pleasure. Things like money, or fame, or even the continued giving of compliments will bring out their true nature. Hand them a $100 bill. Notice how their eyes follow the gift, and not the giver. Notice how their joy is dependent on the object. That temporary piece of paper. Flesh rots and dies, and so will you if you allow these people to come too close. Remember that, boy...

All relationships begin with a lie. That lie being "No, I don't want to rip your clothes off and fuck you like an animal RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW. I want to take you on a date first..."
All relationships end in truth. That truth being "No, I don't want to take you on a date, I just want to rip all your clothes off and fuck you like an animal RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW..."
