Timeless

So today at work I was reminded again of how poorly I keep track of passing time. It's common for me to estimate an hour as 15 minutes, or to skip forwards or backwards a few calendar days when writing the date, but today I was off by a month. I was at work discussing something I had done and photographed. I swore it was 10-14 days ago, and my friend disagreed. He said it was much longer. But I swore I remembered it like it was recent. We pulled the date up on the picture, and sure enough it was 7 weeks ago.

So then he proceeded to ask me why I'm always so bad with time. And I told him because it isn't important. And he asked how it wasn't important. How could I always go on not even sure the day of the week? And my response was, again, it's not important.

"Am I hungry? Am I tired? Do I have to pee? These are the only things I need to know."
